Harry Potter

The final Harry Potter film will hit theatres in July 2011, this trailer shows a little bit of whats to happen in the second part of the film. I have read all Harry Potter books and I am a huge fan of the books and movies, it will be a very sad day when the Harry Potter films are over, but these actors are getting old and they started when they were 11 and are now 21. They have certainly had quite the career, and we Harry Potter fans will not forget the movie they did. I absolutely cannot wait until July, but I’ll have to be patient and just re watch all the other movies for now…
Carbrook Golf Club Shark

A video was taken of a bull shark swimming at the Carbrook Golf Club, at first this video really didn’t interest me. Though I thought that sharks couldn’t swim in lakes or rivers, they needed salt water. Especially since this shark is so shallow to the water, usually sharks like to stay deeper in. I am afraid of sharks, and seeing this sort of makes me scared to go to the lake this summer. Still not sure if this video is true, but it definitely looks like a shark and looks pretty real to me.
Nike Running

1. This ad is advertising Nike, but in a negative way.
2. No product in general, but the overall Nike brand is being advertised in a negative way to show that people are working in sweat shops to make these shoes for Nike, and that it really isn’t that cool.
3. The ad is showing an image of a female, looking like she may be running away from something, she is holding something but you can’t really tell what it is, she is also not wearing shoes. The image is pretty dark and a little confusing.
4. The message of this ad is what made me want to do it, it really caught my attention when I read it. It says, ” You’re running because you want that raise, to be all you can be, but it’s not easy when you work sixty hours a week making sneakers in an Indonesian factory, and your friends disappear when they ask for a raise. So think globally before you decide it’s SO cool to wear NIKE.”
5. I think the ad in this case is really trying to get the message across, so there isn’t too much colour or design going on. The words that they want to get across and stick in people’s minds are bold and red and larger than the other words which will definitely catch the reader’s attention.
6. The targeted audience is everyone, possibly more to the people who are a fan of Nike, or who from Nike. Though really I think this ad is just trying to get everyone’s attention that not everything is as it seems and to think before you buy something.
7. Yes, I think 100% this ad conveyed a clear and successful message, it really got my attention because of the bold letters, and also when I finished reading it made me think.
8. I think the ad did a good job making sure the message got across, but the woman in the background is a little hard to figure out. I would like to know what she is holding, maybe brighten it up a bit. Though overall this ad got their message across and did a good job.
Is this even human?

Ive seen some pretty crazy gymnastic stunts, but this video is insane! Just like the title, “is this even human?” I have no idea. This video already has over 5 million views and I can see why. I think ive watched this video ten times, I just cannot believe what this man can do. His first routine was; front flip off of the springboard, followed by a whipback, back handspring, triple twist, whipback, back handspring & triple twist. His second routine was; round-off into a double layout, whipback, back handspring, full twisting double layout, whipback, whipback, double back with a full twist. I can barely say that routine without taking a breath. I cannot even imagine how dizzy he would have been.
McGrease

1. The advertisement is representing McDonald’s in a negative way, displaying the fact that there is so much grease and fat in the foods of McDonald’s.
2. The advertisement isn’t really showing one certain product, but more all the food or most foods sold at McDonald’s.
3. This advertisement gives an image of Ronald McDonald covering his mouth with tape that says Grease on it.
4. The word “grease” is used in this advertisement, one simple yet powering word to show what the food at McDonald’s is.
5. I think the colours are bold and would definitely catch someones eye.
6. The target audience is not anyone in specific, really just trying to show people the health risk with eating McDonald’s too much. This could also be targeted on anyone who is a McDonald’s fan, and should maybe think about cutting down.
7. I think it does convey a clear message, even though there isn’t much writing on the actual ad. I think one word in this case is all that is needed. Sometimes just one word is enough to get the message across.
8. I really believe that this ad is pretty solid, I think it covered all the basics for an ad. If anything maybe could have had a catchy slogan to get the reader’s attention. Though overall I think the ad is great.
Southwest plane hole in roof

SouthWest Airline 812 on April 2nd had quite the scare when a part of the roof ripped open at 32000 feet in the air. I flew on SouthWest only about 2 weeks ago, and when I saw this I just thought if I was on that plane I would be in panic. I can’t imagine what the passengers felt like seeing the hole in the roof. This incident immediately made all older airplanes check to make sure that the plane was completely safe and the metal was stable. Even though everyone was safe and the plane landed safely, I can’t imagine what the feeling would be like seeing a hole in the roof of your plane at 32000 feet in the air.
Soul Surfer

This is a movie trailer for Soul Surfer, it came out last friday. This movie looks really inspiring and overall a great movie, the actors in this movie are amazing. I also remember when I heard on the news that a 13 year old girl named Bethany Hamilton lost an arm in a shark attack while surfing, Bethany continues to surf despite what happened to her. I thought it was just an amazing story and when I found out there was a movie about it, I just knew I have to see it. This movie is definitely on my list of movie to see!
I watch American Idol every week, and I thought from the beginning that Pia Toscano is going to win this thing. I also knew a whole bunch of people who believed that too. Pia is hands down the best singer on the show, yet she was voted off last Thursday. It was literally a shock to me, the audience and especially the judges. The judges were speechless, they loved Pia and always said she was one of the best. I am very upset with America, they always think that “oh, she’s safe, I don’t need to vote for her” but if everyone says that, then you end up with an amazing singer going home. I almost don’t want to watch the show anymore of how mad I am. Even though she is off, she will definitely go far with her career.
